Today’s challenge is the crown braid. This is a style that I absolutely love! It’s easier to do than it looks and it is just so, soooo cute! It’s adorable on little girls and I think it’s one that’s also great for teens and adults too. There are lots of fun ways that you can mix it up and do it in different ways. Let’s get to some tutorials!
Dutch Lace Crown Braid tutorial by me. I did this style on my 3 year old Gracie, but you could use the same technique to style any age. It’s not just for little girls!
Easy Crown Braid tutorial by Kayley Melissa. She teaches you a little trick to doing this braid which will make it a lot easier to do it on yourself! You can use the same technique when doing it on someone else too if you struggle to do it as one continuous braid like I teach above.
Half Up Crown Braid tutorial by Missy Sue. She shows you how to create a gorgeous crown braid like you saw in the first two tutorials above, but as a half-up style. It’s beautiful and a bit more mature looking, but would still work great on little girls too.
Dutch Fishtail Crown Braid tutorial by Missy Sue. by Missy Sue. Crown braids don’t just have to be done with a Dutch braid, you can mix it up and do it with whatever braid technique you want. Warning, this fishtail version will make your arms ache if you are doing it on yourself, but it is just soooo gorgeous!!
Rope Twist Crown Braid tutorial by Cute Girls Hairstyles. I love, love, love this braid and it’s so fast and easy – give it a couple of tries and you will love it too!
3 Strand Pull Through Halo Braid tutorial by me. This is one of my new favorite styles! This one takes a little longer to do, but it gives you a very beautiful, regal look. Because it is a style made with small elastics, it will hold well for school, sports and other activities.
Crown Braid & Messy Bun tutorial by Annies Forget Me Knots. This is an adorable variation to the crown braid if a typical crown braid isn’t quite your own personal style.
Double crown braid tutorial by Braidsandstyles12. For how intricate and complicated this style looks, you will be surprised that it’s actually much easier than you would think! It’s definitely another gorgeous variation of crown braid that is perfect for any age.
Princess Tiara Braid tutorial by me. I know that this isn’t really a crown braid, but if you are feeling regal anyway, why not go for a braided tiara 😉
