I am very excited to have my friend guest posting today. She goes by “Yiyayellow” online and is a very sweet and talented braider who I have had the pleasure of meeting through the Instagram braiding community. Yiyayellow does beautiful hairstyles on herself and others and I’m so pleased to have her teaching us how to do this beautiful DIY waterfall braid – 3 styles in 1 combo. She shows us how to do a waterfall braid on yourself, how to add French braids to the waterfall braid to create a cool combo braid look, and then she teaches how to turn that into a beautiful updo!
I’m very excited to do this guest post on Lori’s blog today! Thank you so much Lori for letting me!
I’ll start by telling you a little about my tutorials. Last summer, after I had been braiding for almost one year, I decided to start a YouTube channel and do some tutorials. Because most of the styles which I post on my Instagram are styles that I’ve done on myself, I recently decided to share some DIY tutorials on my YouTube channel as well. It can be hard filming DIY tutorials and of course I’m not a professional but I enjoy making and sharing these videos so I think that’s what it’s all about, right?
In this blog post I’d like to share with you my most recent DIY tutorial which is actually a 3-in-1 tutorial! In this video I first show you how to do a regular waterfall braid on yourself. Next I show you how to combine it with French braids to create a fun braid combo. Then after that, I turn it into an updo which can be worn with either a casual or a fancy outfit! It is possible to do just one of the styles I show in this tutorial on yourself, but you can also combine them like I do. I really enjoy braid combo’s like this one as with the many different braiding techniques, there are endless possibilities!
This is a DIY tutorial, so a video where I show you how to do the braids on yourself – but of course it is also possible to do these braids on someone else! I just thought it would be fun to share how I do these braids on myself.
Be creative with these braids and have fun braiding!
Once again, a big ‘thank you’ to Lori!
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions for tutorials.
Have a great day!
“Yiyayellow” is a teen braider from the Netherlands. (She prefers not to use her real name online, which I can completely understand as a protective mom myself!) She enjoys creating beautiful braids on herself and others. She is a great student who is looking forward to finishing school. She loves kids and enjoys babysitting in her spare time. Yiyayellow is one of the kindest, most generous braiders that I have had the pleasure of “meeting” online and I thank her again for guest posting! You can find her on Instagram and YouTube.
